Why Do Some Americans Hate Veterans?

As a 100% combat wounded Vietnam vet, I ask -

When will this dam war against Vietnam vets be over?

I went back to my home state of Ohio in 2000, 30+ years after I was wounded, and first place I went to, a woman ran up to me, spit in my face and yelled so all could hear, "He is one of THEM."

I ask you Mr. and Mrs. America, why don't you TURN YOUR HATE ON THE DRUG DEALERS WHO ARE POISONING YOUR CHILDREN?

Why do you not understand that WE FOUGHT THE COMMUNISTS TO PROTECT YOU. Why don't you protest the American communist party?

You hate us who fought this damn war, but glorify President Kennedy who sent us off to war.

You of the Democratic party, why does the American communist party claim this president Obama, as a member of the cpusa?

Why have you, the "educated" as you call yourself, not even bothered to FIND THE TRUTH ABOUT MOST OF US VIETNAM VETS WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED YOUR DRUGS?

I have always loved my jobs and worked much harder than those who were not Viet Nam vets, just to TRY TO FIT IN, BUT YOU STILL HATED US. You who HATE CANNOT EVEN TELL US WHY.

I HAVE LIVED IN SEVERE PAIN EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE JUNE 25 1969, and you tell us we should never have been allowed to come back to YOUR COUNTRY.

I would NOT WANT ANY OF YOU TO LIVE MY LIFE. But I have to say, I AM NOT PROUD TO KNOW YOUR KIND, YOUR IGNORANCE, YOUR HATE OR HOW YOU LIVE YOUR SICK LIVES.

I pray for our fine young men and women in uniform, who I am very proud of. GOD PLEASE BLESS ALL OF THEM.

I pray they come home to an America who loves them for their service.
