Obama Eligibility Issue

Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin, a career Army officer with 18 years of service, is risking his career, and with it, his military retirement, to challenge Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as his Commander in Chief.

Lakin, a flight surgeon, was in the high-profile position of Chief of Primary Care and Flight Surgeon for the Pentagon's Health Clinic. He was also the senior flight surgeon responsible for the pilots and air crew for Army Chief of Staff General George W. Casey, Jr. Lakin has been selected for promotion to Colonel.

For more than a year, LTC Lakin attempted to address, both within the Army, and through his Congressional delegation, his serious doubts about the Constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States and his Commander-in-Chief.

After having no success in attempting to address the Obama eligibility issue through available channels within the military, LTC Lakin received orders in February, 2010, to deploy to Afghanistan. In March, he issued a public challenge to the President in this YouTube video, requesting that Obama eligibility be proved, and announcing that until the President's Constitutional eligibility for the office was established, he intended not to deploy as ordered.

Ironically, LTC Lakin's deployment orders required him to bring with him copies of his birth certificate, the same document he requested the President to provide.

Lakin's premise is that, as a military officer who has taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, he is compelled to ensure that his military orders are valid orders, issued by a Constitutionally-qualified President.

Because so many questions have been raised about Barack Obama's status as a natural-born citizen, as the Constitution requires, LTC Lakin has serious doubts about the validity or "lawfulness" of any military orders issued by Obama until such time as Obama's eligibility has been demonstrated.

If Barack Obama were actually born in the state of Hawaii, as he claims, this would be a simple matter of producing a certified copy of his original hospital birth certificate, showing the hospital where he was born, and the signature of the attending physician who delivered him.

Obama claims to be in possession of this document, so why would he refuse to provide the same document that other American citizens are routinely required to provide for simple things such as obtaining driver's licenses, marriage licenses, and passports?

Yet Barack Obama and those who want him in power have spent more than a million dollars in attorneys fees on an army of lawyers, both government and civilian, to hide, eliminate, and prevent access to any and all records which would shed any light on the subject of his birth, or any other details about his life.

Apparently the only information the world is allowed to know about Barack Hussein Obama, 44th President of the United States, is the information he wants known, the questionable information he conveniently presented in his autobiographical book, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.

The only problem with that is that many of the "facts" Obama presents in his book have been shown to be inaccurate, if not completely fabricated. There are credible claims that he didn't even write the book.

Is there anything about Barack Obama that is genuine?

Attempts to verify information about the President's background have been met with stonewalling, document disappearance, scrubbing of websites, or legal shenanigans. In addition to his birth certificate, also unavailable for inspection are his school records, his college records at Occidental College and Columbia, his law school records at Harvard, his Illinois Bar Association records, and his records in the Illinois Senate.

Amazingly, public documents concerning Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, and her parents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, have also mysteriously disappeared. There are no marriage records for his parents, no divorce records, no records of his mother's later marriage to Indonesian Lolo Soetoro, no records of his adoption by Soetoro, and no medical records.

In fact, if one were looking for documentation that Barack Hussein Obama exists, it would be difficult to prove his existence in the time frame between his birth, announced in Hawaii newspapers and documented by a Hawaii "Certification of Live Birth," and his election to the United States Senate. Someone who previously "never existed" according to available official records, just magically showed up in the U.S. Senate!
