These guys (Congress) should be fired, kicked out and run out of the USA for threatening military paychecks via a government shutdown.

Be sure that they will get paid, like they need the money.

When are we going to stop being like sheep and take back our country?



Vicki, please write your Senators and Congressmen/women and ask them to do whatever is necessary to ensure that our military personnel get paid on time, and stop making them pawns in a political game.

I blame no one but the American people for letting our gov be run by jerks.

We the people, what a joke. It's we who have the money.

Pay our troops, they put their lives on the line.

I served and if I don't get paid that's ok. Nobody is shooting at me.

The reason is that our troops make sure we are safe.

Stop the aid we give to other countries. And pay our troops.

 Blame Congress, Not Obama

You shouldn't blame the Obama Administration. This is Congress that is holding things up by thinking of themselves and no one else.



The Obama Administration (just as any other administration) is responsible for the budget submitted to Congress that is the source of the disagreement. It is the Obama Budget they are arguing about.

It is also the Democrats in Congress supporting the Administration, and the Republicans in Congress not supporting the Administration.

How do you think you can remove the current administration from disagreements over the national budget and government spending?

We need to stop worrying about who to blame, and focus on getting the troops paid on time.

One of my favorite quotes from President Reagan (and there are many) is:

"There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit."

Conversely, there is definitely a limit to the amount of good you can do if all you care about is looking for someone else to blame because you know you're not doing what you should.

 How DARE the govt not pay our troops!

If we have a govt shutdown and our troops are not paid, it will NOT be President Obama that gets the blame it will be the REPUBLICAN PARTY.



Anon, you've just demonstrated the problem beautifully.

Instead of worrying about who gets the blame for a government shutdown, let's forget about political parties and unite to make sure our troops get paid ON TIME.

We ask so much of them, and they deliver, with honor and pride. And they do an outstanding job.

It should offend all Americans that politicians on both sides of the aisle are willing to let these men and women have their pay delayed while they engage in partisan bickering over other government spending programs.

Tell your Senators and Congressmen/women that military paychecks should be off limits, and that our military MUST be paid ON TIME, regardless of other government spending. That includes retirees, who have already served our nation for more than 20 years and rely on those paychecks for their survival.
