Future Soldier
Hello there, my name is Kara. I just turned 17 on July 6, 2011.
Ever since I was about 5 years old all I wanted to be was a soldier. And yesterday July 18,2011.. I went with my mom and I enlisted in the United States Army.
I wasn't scared because I knew what I was doing. I was a little nervous at first but who wouldn't be in a moment like that?
But I wanted to say that the only reason I followed my dream of being a soldier was because I look at pictures of the men and women that are serving and it inspires me.
So I wanted to say thank you to all the men and women who are currently defending or who have defended our country. I can't wait to be one of you one day.
Kara, congratulations on your decision to join the ranks of men and women who have served our country.
